Yvonne Callahan Horton, 80, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held from the gravesite at Evergreen Cemetery, Tuesday, July 11, 2023, 10:00am, with Pastor Danny Callahan officiating.

Mrs. Horton was born December 6, 1942, in Waycross, GA, to J.R. & Grace Adkins Callahan.  She had lived in Brunswick for the past 65 years, and was a member of First Methodist Church of Brunswick.  She was a volunteer with the Southeast Georgia Health System Auxiliary, and retired in 2009, as a clerk with the Solicitor of State Court Office.

Survivors include her children, Deanne Vickers (Mick) of Brunswick, David Horton (Trina) of Brunswick, Donna Owens of Nahunta, and Debra Horton of St. Marys, grandchildren, Jonathan Beard (Allison), Frank Horton (Christina), Brittney Clemons (Tyler), A.J. Horton, Brinson Owens (Abby), and 1 great granddaughter, Madison Grace Clemons.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Owen Horton, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Human Society of South Coastal Georgia, 4627 Hwy 17, Brunswick, GA 31525.
