Hazen West Danforth, Jr.

Hazen West Danforth, Jr., 53, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Services to celebrate Hazen's life will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, 11:00am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00am until service time.

Hazen was born October 28, 1972, in Appleton, WI, to Hazen West Danforth and Leslie Anne Boyd.  Coming from New York, he had lived in Brunswick for the past 36 years.  He was a 1990 graduate of Brunswick High School, and attended Brunswick College.  Hazen was an avid reader, enjoyed watching New York Yankee Baseball, and loved being with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jennifer Danforth, his mother and step-father, Leslie Boyd and Rob Mikulak, of Ashville, NC, his step-mother, Linda Danforth of Brunswick, his children, Lauren Smith (Zach) of St. Augustine, FL, Peyton Barber (Chris), Meghan Williams (Matt), and Trey Danforth (Lexie), all of Brunswick, brother, Scott Danforth of Brunswick, grandchildren, Reaghan Williams, Wyatt Smith, Zane Smith, and Emmitt Barber, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Hazen was preceded in death by his father, Hazen West Danforth, and a brother, Michael Danforth.
