Glenda Joann Bridges Lipthratt, 74, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026, at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA.

Funeral services will be held from the gravesite at Evergreen Cemetery on Thursday, April 16, 2026, 11:00 AM, with Pastor Chris Oglesby officiating.

Born December 8, 1951, in Woodbine, GA, to Grady and Annie Bridges, she was adopted by Reno and Matilda Bridges.  Joann was a 1970 graduate of Glynn Academy, and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from West Virginia State College in 1992.  She was the Regional Manager for Security Finance and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.  She was a huge supporter of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Kenneth David Lipthratt of Brunswick, children, David Lipthratt (Myungsun 'Jennifer') of Columbus, OH, and Elizabeth Rice (Kurt) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Jake Rice, Louis Lipthratt (Caroline), and Ricky Durden, great grandson, Carson Lipthratt, siblings, Grady Bridges of Jacksonville, Clinton Bridges of Waverly, Richard Bridges (Paulette) of Kingsland, James Bridges (Jackie) of WaverlyTeresa Brooks (Robert) of Waverly, a sister-in-law, Becky Bridges of Jesup, in addition to her biological and adoptive parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Betty Ryals, and Terry Bridges, sisters-in-law, Willa Mae Bridges, Linda Bridges, brother-in-law, Kenneth Ryals.
